Pender Harbor is just special. You navigate through a small cut to a beautiful wide, three fingered harbor. You can anchor anywhere. Has a good grocery store, restaurants, chandlery. Plus it's very protected. The Canadians know this as well.
The northbound highway from Vancouver ends just up from here, and it is the perfect place to keep a boat to jump off to some of best places the BC Coast has to offer. The sun has shone since we got here. Our cupboards are full. We should leave tomorrow, but we may linger. A day north and there's some serious shit...currently one of rapids we pass through is flooding at 16 knots. Iolair can only motor at 6 knots so we will have to time it well.
