Blind Channel Luxuries
This Marina Resort is a cool, little spot (we are getting used to the lack of cell and good internet). That said, many boats are switching over to Elon Musk’s Starlink’s mobile internet. He is a pretty smart entrepreneur. Maybe next year, since we could take it with us where we roam. Blind Channel has room for about 25 boats, and they come in all shapes and sizes–supersized 60 footers from Seattle, down to smaller 30 foot sailboats. They get their freshwater from a spring, power from a generator, and bring in supplies by boat from Vancouver Island. Kelly is ready to marry their baker, regardless of gender. It’s 4th generation family run summer business. Nice German restaurant, so we had Snitzel for an early wedding anniversary dinner. (NOT AS GOOD AS MOM’S) Making some new friends up here as folks converge at different locations. A beautiful cinnamon bear (a black bear variant) walks the beach across the cove daily. We are staying 1 more night and then heading down the Johnstone Strait, running another set of rapids, and spending a few nights in the Octopus Islands Marine Park. Should see some good wind in the Strait tomorrow.
