Sargeaunt Passage

 

All is well on Iolair. Kawtsi Bay was a great spot. We went out in the dinghy and drifted with a large pod of dolphins - 100? We watched them working together to corral fish and then force the fish to the surface. The dolphins would then created a bubble net around the fish after driving them into a rock walled cove. Then attack! Several times we had them around the dinghy, so close you might have touched them. Moved today to explore Bond and Thompson Sounds. We anchored for a few hours in Thompson and took the dinghy up the river. It’s prime bear habitat. Complete wilderness. I think we saw 3 boats today.We slowly worked our way up the river a few miles. Really fantastic scenery, but the grizzlies were not to be seen. We don’t think the Salmon have arrived yet. Now tucked into a nice little spot for the night. We will be at a marina Thursday, so we should be able to post pictures and make some calls.
