Heiltzuk Wild-er-ness

For the last few days, we wound through small passages, bays, and coves. We crossed paths with no one. We did check out a Heiltzuk remote cabin. Spirit bears live on this island. They are albino black bears that are pure white. The Heiltzuk consider them sacred. We didn't see one.

We did see a few other boats in the distance. Humpbacks are a daily thing. We could hear them from the anchorage. Jay is spoked by their loud blows. Tomorrow we head to the Khutze Inlet - the area is well known for its bears and wildlife.
