Nimmo Bay

Clouds burned off today and it’s been sunny and breezy. Water to snowcaps…straight up. We sailed down the McKensie Sound to check out the entrance to this bay. Charts show 1 foot of water at low tide, but we waited for high tide (+11 ft) and made it through the rocky entrance. The bay on the inside is supposedly a great bear/wildlife viewing spot. Grizzlies rule the shore, so we’ll stay on the boat. The Bay is full of jellyfish, and the loons call back and forth on the water. We will run back out on the high tide Thursday. 2 other boats here tonight, and a little private fishing resort sits about a mile away.
