A Special Goodbye

The back porch at Merryfield Farm, White Stone, Virginia, will always be a benchmark as we move forward.  Life in the Northern Neck was simple, peaceful, and endlessly beautiful. Etched into our memories: walking down the double yellow line in the middle of the road, beautiful woods, corn fields, happy dogs, friendly people, osprey, eagles, strange little crabs, frogs, and the Chesapeake Bay around every corner.

Our landlord sold the 1890's farm to a couple from Norfolk. No doubt they'll pour their efforts into restoring this place.

Meanwhile, we've been pre-occupied with preparing Iolair to be our new home.
