Rain, Wind, Music
Rain - 24 hours of it.
Wind - 25 knots all night long.
Music - intoxicated sing-along in the Iolair cockpit.
Iolair and many other cruising friends were waiting for a strong front to blow through Rockland, Maine. 100 feet of chain firmly keeping the anchor in dark mud. We were snug and dry below just cleaning the boat, reading, and waiting. When the weather broke, our friends from Aria and new friends from Exuberant came over to Iolair. All eight of us sang songs, drank whiskey and rum until late at night. We think we heard applause from the small cruise ship anchored not far away.
