Green Bug Turds: Sassafras River, MD

Had some wind to sail today, and we made it up to the Sassafras River at the mouth of the Chesapeake Delaware Canal.  It was a warm night, and Zac and Zoe made their bed in the cockpit under the dodger.  So did a swarm of mating little flying insects.  Something about the underside of the dodger was perfect for the harmless swarm.  They left us a bunch of little green dots all over the cockpit and cushions -  eggs? maybe shite? Not sure but they were a pain to wash off everything.  They left on the first breeze, and Zac and Zoe seemed normal enough.

BTW: You can track the boat's movements at this web page.
