Best Cocktails...so far: Camden, Maine

Evidently, Camden was voted best town in Maine.  We decided it made sense for the boys to see this before they took off for Virginia and Oregon.  The pictures tell the story, and we had a couple of the best cocktails we've had at an outdoor restaurant in the middle of a boatyard, The Rhumb Line.  The rhumb line is the most direct line between two waypoints when racing a sailboat.  Most of the time you tack or jibe back and forth across the rhumb line and stay as close as possible.

From memory...

Ferocious Tequila : a combination of pineapple juice, lime juice, Heradura tequila, and jalepenos.

Strawberry Mash: wild Maine strawberries mashed with Tito's vodka

While sipping, you have some salty views. Camden is home to several large schooners that take tourists out for daysails, but also compete in regattas up and down the east coast.  If you haven't been to Camden in August, it would be a great escape from the heat.

Today's Boat Quote:  Kelly: "The boat's moving."  Regardless of whether we are underway, at anchor, or on a mooring ball, Iolair is always moving.
